Just wanted to give you some feedback now that I’ve been wearing your kit for a little while. I’m a grumpy old git, picky and not easily pleased. I really like your gear.

The St Kilda jacket has instantly become my daily dog walking jacket, despite my best intentions to save it for ‘special occasions’. Today we did a little over 3 hours in steady rain, on a circle walk around the lake, giving the wind an opportunity to come at us from every direction, to christen the trousers. When we got back, they hadn’t wetted out at all, even after I hosed the mud off - just shook them dry. The jacket outer wetted out on the front after a couple of hours, but the inner was bone dry, as were the pockets. I’m glad of the pit zips, but was a little worried that they might be a weak point for water ingress; today has proved that worry to be unfounded, as nothing got in. It’s been about 5-6 degrees while we’ve been out lately, but I’ve dispensed with a mid-layer and only need a long sleeved cotton base layer while I’m walking. I’m probably just going to carry a lightweight gilet in the poachers pocket to slip on when stationary if it drops any colder, but I didn’t need a mid layer during the snow yesterday.

The fit and fabric are superb, so there’s no sense of weight or drag when wearing the jacket or trousers. The elasticated pocket tops are a nice touch too. The only possible suggestion I might make is that the main zip is a bit small for sausage fingers like mine - something a little chunkier might be easier for gloved or numb fingers.

I’ve never had a better set of foul weather gear. I confidently expect this outfit will see me out now.

The Arnish trousers fit perfectly and the modification which you made to the Gunna jacket, by adding two hand warmer pockets, makes it ideal for my purpose.

Truly a top end piece of kit. When I wore it for the first time on contract the interest from the other members of the team was huge. I would like to congratulate you on producing such an impressive jacket on many levels. Design, function, utility and aesthetics are all superb. Most importantly, it’s extremely comfortable to wear, moulding to the body in all the right places. The hood is well-designed, non-restrictive with great field vision and despite the jacket’s considerable overall weight – as expected with Double Ventile - it feels remarkably lightweight to wear, while still providing heavy-duty, full-spectrum protection.

I received the trousers at 11.30am and went straight out for a walk to Rame Head in Cornwall.

They are as good as they look in the photo, fit well, the finish is excellent and they are very comfortable.

The thigh pockets work really well, better than traditional cargo pockets.
